Lemmy Enhanced Overlay (LEO)
Lemmy Enhanced Overlay (LEO) is a Chrome add-on that aims to enhance the browsing experience on the lemmy.world site. It provides a UI overlay that allows users to quickly view images without the need to open new tabs or scroll through the page. With LEO, images are automatically displayed on top of the current page, making it easier to browse and navigate through content.
One of the key features of LEO is the ability to control the overlay using keyboard keys. Once activated on the lemmy.world site by pressing the ESCAPE key, users can use the W, S, SpaceBar, and Shift keys to navigate through images and pages. Pressing W takes you to the next image in the page, which is displayed in an overlay. Pressing S takes you to the previous image. SpaceBar allows you to quickly move to the next lemmy page, automatically loading the first image. And Shift takes you to the previous lemmy page, also loading the first image.
To disable the extension, simply press the ESCAPE key again. If the extension was paused, pressing ESCAPE will load the last image that was displayed. LEO is available for free and can be found on the developer's GitHub repository for further information and updates.
